Katherine Dvoskin is an active pianist and chamber artist. She received her BM degree from the Moscow State College of Music by F. Chopin and MM degree from Moscow State Academy of Music, Russia. Katherine studied with internationally respected pianist, Victor Derevianko—who was a student of famed piano pedagogue, Heinrich Neuhaus.
Katherine has received numerous honors in international piano competitions to include international piano festivals of International Competition and Festival “Music Without Limits” and Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes in memory of Marina Bondarenko , including the Frederic Chopin Piano Competition in Moscow, Russia. While in Israel, Katherine had the opportunity to study with famed pianist, Nikolai Petrov.
Active as a performer since 1992, Ms. Dvoskin has concertized throughout Russia, Siberia, Armenia, Lithuania, Israel and the United States having performed in such venues as the Small Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Music Hall of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Hall of State Central Museum of Music Culture by M. Glinka, and the International Music Hall of Svetlanov in Moscow.
In addition to her performing career, she has professionally accompanied solo instrumentalists and choirs throughout Russia and the United States, having been offered an accompanying contract by the esteemed Bolshoi Ballet just prior to her relocation to the United States.
In San Diego, Katherine currently accompanies for such local institutions as Point Loma Nazarene University, the University of San Diego, the University of California at San Diego. Katherine works as a collaborative pianist with many different instruments and studios such as Michael Dvoskin’s violin students, Elena Yarritu’s flute studio, Alex Palamidis students, Vladimir Goltsman’s clarinet studio, Daria Hodko, and many more. Katherine Dvoskin has been working as a piano accompanist with Music Teachers’ Association of California Programs® such as Certificate of Merit program®, VOCE®, Conventions Programs®, Concerto Solo Competition®, Helen B. Goodlin Competition®. She has been working as well as with Flute Guild Festivals, Mainly Mozart Orchestra concerto solo competition, Musical Merit Foundation. Also, she maintains a K&M Music School studio and performs regularly with her violinist husband, Michael Dvoskin.
