Galina Cotler serves as a Board Member and the Director of Theory at K&M Music School, where she oversees the development of the school’s music theory curriculum and academic standards. With more than 45 years of teaching experience, she has guided generations of students in both classical and jazz piano, as well as in the essential foundations of music theory.

Galina holds a Master’s degree in music education and has pursued advanced studies at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels. A dedicated pianist and accompanist, she has taught private lessons, group classes, and master classes, and continues to inspire students with her deep musical knowledge and passion for teaching.

Her professional recognition includes being named a 2023 Top Piano Teacher by Steinway Piano Gallery San Diego, a distinction that reflects her commitment to excellence. She is also an active member of the American College of Musicians (Guild), where she contributes to upholding national standards in music education.
